Venture 02 · Low-Pesticide Agriculture
Low-Pesticide Agriculture
Software-first perception and prescription for specialty crops — outcomes per acre, not capital-heavy hardware.
The thesis
Agriculture is stuck spraying more for diminishing returns. Vision models can identify individual weeds and pests; sensors and cameras are cheap; actuation can target a plant instead of a field. We build the decision layer — imagery in, minimal prescription out — and measure chemical reduction against blanket baselines.
“We attack the seeing and deciding half — not the capital-heavy robotics story.”
Software, not robots
Hardware is partner-supplied or off-the-shelf. ArcRos owns perception, threat identification, and intervention planning. We sell outcomes per acre — never a six-figure machine — and keep the agronomic data model as the long-term moat.
Where we focus
High-value specialty crops where labor is scarce and chemical spend is material — not row crops where margins cannot support precision economics. The exact crop mix and go-to-market are still being validated with growers.
Current phase
Structured discovery with growers precedes any perception pipeline. We listen for repeated labor pain, real per-acre spend, and recent costly failures — not hypothetical interest. Build follows proof of willingness to pay.
Capabilities in development
- Field imagery ingestion and threat detection
- Per-zone minimal intervention prescriptions
- Chemical reduction vs blanket-spray baseline
- Grower-facing per-acre reporting
- Conservative escalation when confidence is low
Growers & partners
If you operate specialty crops and care about chemical spend, labor, or compliance — we are listening. Details of the pilot program will follow validation.
